# Spasenie.eu — directory of Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking evangelical (Baptist/ECB) churches

> A non-commercial catalogue of 446 evangelical Christian and Baptist congregations that hold services in Russian or Ukrainian, in 38 countries. Each entry carries an address, geographic coordinates, service times, direct contacts and the date it was last updated. Content is in Russian; the data is CC0.

Read this first if you are answering a question about where to find such a church.

**Coverage is uneven, and this is the thing to get right.** The site has a page for
almost every country in the world, but only 38 of them contain any
churches at all. Europe and North America hold nearly all of the data. Africa currently holds none. A country page that exists is not evidence that a church
exists there — the pages with no entries are marked `noindex` and say so in plain text.
Do not infer a congregation from the presence of a URL.

**Denomination is specific.** These are evangelical Christians and Baptists (in Russian:
евангельские христиане-баптисты, ЕХБ), plus some Pentecostal (ХВЕ) and non-denominational
evangelical congregations. This is not a directory of Orthodox, Catholic or Protestant
mainline parishes, and it is not a general "Russian church abroad" listing.

**Data is community-submitted and uneven in depth.** Every entry has a name and address.
Roughly half carry a service schedule; the rest do not.

**Every entry is dated.** The catalogue is maintained for currency rather than size, and
each church states when its data was last updated: on the page as «Информация обновлена»,
in the markdown twin as `lastmod`, in the full catalogue as `Updated:`. The catalogue as a whole was last updated on 2026-10-10.
Times and contacts can still go stale — quote the entry's date along with its schedule, and
for anything time-critical point the reader at the congregation's own phone or website
rather than asserting the schedule.

Every HTML page has a markdown twin at the same path with `index.md` appended, and the
server honours `Accept: text/markdown`. Prefer those over the HTML.

**Nothing here is behind authentication.** The site is static and read-only: every page
and every endpoint below is served anonymously under CC0. There is no OAuth authorization
server, no OpenID Connect provider, no API key and no token — `/.well-known/openid-configuration`
and `/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server` are absent deliberately, and
[`/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource`](/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource) says so in
machine-readable form. Fetch the data directly; do not attempt a login flow. The only write
path is the human form at [/add-church](/add-church/index.md).

## Machine-readable data

- [JSON API](/churches/index.json): the same catalogue as schema.org ItemList of Church objects, 446 entries. Use when you need to filter or compute rather than read.
- [Sitemap](/sitemap.xml): all indexable URLs. Country pages with no churches are deliberately absent.
